more recentness

Last night, Dan, Bryce and I drove to P-town to watch movies with Brittney. I had lots of fun. I love Brittney so much. Anyone who doesn't know the coolness, get in touch with the coolness

On our way there we saw a black car parked behind a cop that was pulling someone in front of him over, in the black car was a couple-making out.

We also saw a woman, (who wasn't extremely attractive by mans standards) probably mid-40's. She can only be described as vibrant and alive as she sang.

Next there was a man in a truck-brushing his teeth.

Then there was the poor lady with the cane.

And I do believe that was all.
My adventure of the day:
Attempted to drive stick to get eggs about a mile away. Suddenly the car starts to do funny things. Now we're taking my dads jeep down to Milo. Dan's poor car.

Anyways, back to school for me. I feel like I was only back for a weekend and not weeks. And I feel horrible for not getting in touch with more people. Everyone should know, I would've gone to church had the car been working. But now it's 12:02 and I need to get ready to go. The guys have been working on it all morning.

on recent type things

I'm late I'm late for a very important date! *runs around like the rabbit*

I'm not actually late. I just have so many things to do that I haven't done. lol. And I can't find my spiffy folder with funny things in it. Dern it. Ah well life goes on.

I have an allergy to dust.

Sitting in a bar/restaurant on Taco Mondays the following comment was heard at the time Iraq was being give 48 hrs:
"Stupid hickass president needs to be assasinated"
The comment that next sprung to mind was:
"Yah, and you're big city in parkdale"
Suggestion:
Don't call someone a derogatory hick when you live in Parkdale.

Visited a Jewish synagogue last Shabbat and a Buddhist temple on Sunday.
We managed to go visit a Bar-mitzvah of a little girl. There was much much singing in Hebrew. About 15 minutes after we got there, this lady came and sat next to us and smiled. And at one point leaned over and asked us if we were from Reed College, (we weren't) and we proceeded to tell her where we from and the report Dan was writing and so on. She suddenly goes, "Oooooh, so you guys don't know what's happening at all do you?" (We didn't) so she explained everything to us and it was so cool and very nonchalantly she started pointing out the people up front and said, "and that man who just sat down is the head Rabbi, that's my husband". Way cool, God really set that one up so that we understand a lot more than we would've.

The next day, we couldn't find the Buddhist temple so we walked in just as they were done (there were only four people) and so they asked to join them for tea and a snack so I almost said no, but I said yah that'd be great and I got to ask them a whole bunch of questions and it was really cool

An old neighbor of ours is not doing very well. They think he's going to die in the next week or so. It's really sad.

(My mother is complaining about the design of the kitchen)

Well, I'm going to go eat spaghetti. Yummmm, and homemade pesto-maybe.

here comes miss.getthingsdone

I think I'm going to make a new layout sometime within the next week. It just sounds good to me. I really like this layout, but I want more bulk to it. We shall see if I actually follow through or not.

There is the cutest little girl next to me talking away. It's really cute.

Well, I think I'm going home to get things done. Oh yes, I shall be the master of organization and accomplishment by the end of the day. heheheheh. lol.

Oh, but I have to remember to pick up my brother at noon.

war...

Found this poem at lotus
Keeping Quiet
Now we will count to twelve
and we will all keep still.

This one time upon the earth,
let's not speak any language,
let's stop for one second,
and not move our arms so much.

It would be a delicious moment,
without hurry, without locomotives,
all of us would be together
in a sudden uneasiness.

The fishermen in the cold sea
would do no harm to the whales
and the peasant gathering salt
would look at his torn hands.

Those who prepare green wars,
wars of gas, wars of fire,
victories without survivors,
would put on clean clothing
and would walk alongside their brothers
in the shade, without doing a thing.

What I want shouldn't be confused
with final inactivity:
life alone is what matters,
I want nothing to do with death.

If we weren't unanimous
about keeping our lives so much in motion,
if we could do nothing for once,
perhaps a great silence would
interupt this sadness,
this never understanding ourselves
and threatening ourselves with death,
perhaps the earth is teaching us
when everything seems to be dead
and then everything is alive.

Now I will count to twelve
and you keep quiet and I'll go.
Pablo Neruda

I don't really know what I think of it. I'm still sitting here, forced to do the normal everyday things you do on a spring break. There's nothing I can do to help or anything. I'm still complaining about my sore throat, still have a bad haircut, still missing Dan and wishing I wouldn't have to go back to school. But realizing that those things are so small. So incredibly small.

I wish I could do something.....

I think I'm going to go for a drive.

how time flies

It's already 11:45 and I'm really not sure what I've done today. By the way, I highly recommend a "Breve" if you enjoy coffee. They are superb. Dan introduced them to me.

I've read a lot of interesting stuff on Buddhism. If you're in doubt of God, their religion actually makes quite a bit of sense. I never thought reincarnation could ever even remotely sound believable. But, they make some very good points as to how it could be possible. I don't think it's possible, but at least they have a good argument.

Todo
Call Dan
Call Brittney
Ask Amancay to give gift to Bryce tonight at youth (I won't be there because I'm going to go see Brittney)
Finish Buddhism report (and start it for that matter)
Play more guitar
Clean house somewhat
Go see Brittney!!! YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that's all I'm doing today. Yay. I love spring break. I wish it wasn't going to end. But, enough of those type of pessimistic thoughts.

Home sweet home

Wowsers the mountain is pretty today.

I got all my taxes done and I'm just waiting for them to be accepted. Turbotax online is a really good way to do it if you're just doing the 1040EZ form. I had my Dr's appointment today and luckily I didn't get put on something embarrassing, just a stronger form of Ibuprofen. Except, I don't like the doctor lady. She was kinda weird. Anyways. Dan's back home working. Wednesday I'm going into P-town, hopefully going to Brittney's house.

My new guitar is absolutely precious. It's an Ibanez acoustic electric. $479, retail price is $700. It has an excellent hook up. Excellent sound. It's thin body but it curves out in the back so I still get good sound instead of a real thin sound like most thin bodies. I really really like it. I got a super cool case too. It's tan, a gig bag but supposedly it protects the guitar as much as a hard case would because this case has 3 inches of padding and a spine down the back. Plus pockets galore for my music.

I get to do pretty much what I want to do today, so that's cool. I need to get my report on Buddhism done today, because I didn't work on it at all yet. And I want to do a career shadowing and start my philosphy of life paper, but none of that is very likely. Except getting my paper done and visiting a Buddhist temple. Very excited about that.

Well, must go look up Buddhist stuff. I'm in HR so I need to get together with people. But not today.......hehehehehe......
